Answer

32 Karat software can be used with a company network in two ways:
1) To control the user logins and permissions via a Windows operating system (OS) network domain controller
2) To allow the software to access to network printers and hard drives.

Using the 32 Karat software with a network allows for user accounts/permissions to be set up in order to control deletion, re-naming and overwriting of data. Network users can also set up user logins/permissions and the use of network hard drives for projects using the software's system administration features. All other software use is based on the OS's settings for permissions to read/overwrite or delete files along with the network domain controller access that permits the restriction of user accounts based on the needs of different groups through Microsoft Windows Active Directory and Local Domain Access Protocol or LDAP.

To access network printers, the Network button under Print Setup in the File menu will need to be selected within the instrument's software program.
