Activating Analyst TF 1.7.1 Hardware Profile in Sim Mode

Issue Description

Analyst® TF software 1.7.1 will not run in sim mode, even when the hardware profile is configured correctly. An error message pops up when trying to use the software that says: "The following devices failed to initialize: Mass Spectrometer TripleTOF 5600."

 

Resolution

Installing an additional driver--the Ndigo driver from Chronologic--allows Analyst TF 1.7.1 to be used in sim mode. This driver is located in the installer for Analyst TF 1.7.1. Locate the Drivers folder on the CD or installer. Select the Chronologic folder and then Ndigo driver. Double click the Ndigo icon and proceed with the installation.
