Microsoft Word 2007 or 2010 is needed in order to work with these reports. To convert the .xml files to .docx reporter templates, the templates must first be updated to .docx. This is done by using the AB SCIEX Reporter Template Converter located in the following directory: C:\Program Files\ABSCIEX\Reporter Template Converter\Template Converter.
Briefly, first navigate to the report templates folder in Analyst® software using the following file location: C:\Analyst Data\Projects\API Instrument\Templates. Make a copy of the report template that will be converted to .docx and will serve as a test template during the conversion. Leave it in the file as described earlier and start the Template Converter Application. Browse to the report template file (C:\Analyst Data\Projects\API Instrument\Templates) and select the target .xml report template that needs updating. Once you've selected the template, select convert and a .docx file will be created that is compatible with Reporter 3.2.
