Issue Description

When developing a method in Analyst® software and switching between scheduled and unscheduled acquisition methods, additional injections could only be added to the existing data file after rebooting the PC.

For example, in one case, the data file was open in SCIEX OS software (in the form of a results table), and Analyst software was unable to add injections as they were acquired to that same .wiff file. This is a known issue.

Resolution

Because the data files (.wiff and .wiff.scan) were also being processed in real time by another software program (e.g., SCIEX OS-MQ software) on the same PC, the files were locked and additional information could not be added to the data file.

To unlock the files, the results table using the data files can be closed (or alternatively the computer can be rebooted), and this will make the file available again in Analyst software for the addition of more injections.
