Unique workflows using large volume injection or online SPE to achieve lower LODs
Humans produce chemical waste every day, from the pesticides used in farming to the pharmaceuticals, personal care, and household chemicals flushed down the common drain. These chemicals can find their way into our environment and water supplies and have both environmental as well as human impact, particularly when those waters are used as a source for drinking water.
Because these chemical compounds are present in water supplies at such low levels, detection sensitivity is extremely important for the surveillance and analysis of pesticides and pharmaceuticals and personal care products (PPCP) in water samples. To achieve highest sensitivity, LC-MS/MS detection hardware with the capabilities to perform large volume injection (LVI) can be employed to achieve limits of detection (LODs) for compounds at levels below 10 ng/L.
