Purity Analysis of Adeno-Associated Virus (AAV) Capsid Viral Proteins using CE-SDS Method

Adeno-associated virus (AAV) is one of the most widely used gene delivery vehicles for gene therapy because of its non-pathogenicity, low immunogenicity and different tropism to multiple cell types. Purity analysis of the AAV viral proteins is important for quality assurance and safety of AAV products.

In this webinar, we show how the CE-SDS (Capillary Electrophoresis - Sodium Dodecyl Sulfate) method on the SCIEX PA800 Plus provides automated separation of AAV capsid viral proteins with higher resolution, quantitation capability, better reproducibility and is less labor intensive than traditional SDS-PAGE.

You will learn about:

  • How to achieve results for AAV samples with titer greater than 1X1012 GC/mL using CE-SDS methods
  • CE-SDS based workflows for purity analysis utilizing a dye for sample labeling and LIF detector when higher sensitivity is required
  • Benefits of CE-SDS methods that include easy sample preparation, excellent resolving power and good repeatability

Who should attend:

  • Lab scientists or managers developing gene therapies
