Description: This SCIEX University course is intended to provide experienced LC-MS users with the knowledge necessary to successfully perform LC-MS based method development and troubleshoot common MS and HPLC issues. The course is focused on small molecule quantitation. It provides instructor led training with a variety of hands-on exercises, best practices and finishes with a Troubleshooting Challenge for the learner. It is delivered at a SCIEX location by an experienced SCIEX instructor. It is intended for those who have completed a SCIEX University Success Program and have at least one year of operational experience with SCIEX LC-MS systems. Upon completing the course, you should be comfortable with performing instrument tuning and calibration, optimizing tricky compounds in ESI and APCI mode, understanding how to build a robust LC-MS method, troubleshooting common method development and LC-MS system issues, understanding quantitation parameters, and identifying issues with the data results. To complete this course and earn a certificate, you must complete a final exam at the end of the course. The exam consists of 20 questions and all content required for the exam is covered during the 3 days of training. No additional preparation time should be required.
Prerequisites: One year of practical experience operating a SCIEX system or participation in a SCIEX University Success Program are course pre-requisites.
Currently offered for the following Instruments and workflows:
LC Systems: SCIEX ExionLC, Shimadzu (LC-20AD, LC-20ADXR, LC-20AT, LC-30AD), Agilent (1260, 1260 Infinity II, 1290, 1290 Infinity II) and Jasper HPLC System (in applicable regions).
MS Instruments: All versions of SCIEX Triple Quad and QTRAP LC-MS systems (RUO and MD versions).
Workflows: Quantitation of small molecules in Clinical Diagnostics, Clinical Research, Forensics, Food or Environmental testing.
The instrument model used during training may be different from your instrument model. but procedures will be the same or similar and will include content relevant for all.
