Collection and Recycling Arrangements in Italy

The Batteries Directive 2006/66/EC was transposed through Decree 108/2008 which was published on 3 December 2008 and came into force on 18 December 2008.Producers must finance the collection, treatment and recycling of waste portable batteries though an individual system, or by joining a collective system.
