President of SCIEX

As President of SCIEX, Inese Lowenstein is responsible for SCIEX’s global operations and leading the company as it continues providing innovative solutions that enable our customers to get to life-changing answers faster, advancing scientific understanding and safeguarding health.

Inese has more than 25 years of experience in Sales, Marketing, Product Management and General Management. Most recently, she was Senior Global Vice President, Sales & Service, SCIEX, where she was responsible for leading a direct and distributed team of sales, technical and customer support, and market development and service professionals globally, to drive profitable revenue growth. She also had responsibility for Global Digital Marketing and Commercial Operations.

Prior to this, Inese spent more than 13 years with EMD Millipore and Merck KGaA, Darmstadt, Germany, in roles of increasing responsibility culminating in the role of Executive Vice President, Head of Display Materials Business Unit, Performance Materials, where she was responsible for managing the commercial and R&D functions for a 1.5 billion EUR business with 99 percent of revenues originating in Asia.

Inese holds a Bachelor of Engineering Science with major in Economics & Engineering from Riga Technical University, Riga, Latvia and a Master of Business Administration from Walter A. Haas School of Business, University of California at Berkeley.


Andrew ClarkAndrew Clark

CFO and Global Vice President, IT & Operations

Andrew Clark is the Chief Financial Officer and Global Vice President of IT and Operations at SCIEX where he is responsible for overseeing all aspects of financial performance, operations and information technology for the company.

Prior to joining SCIEX in 2012, Andrew held several executive financial and management positions at other Danaher operating companies, including Chief Financial Officer positions at Portescap, Setra and Sonix, as well as concurrently holding the position of interim General Manager of Portescap Singapore/Malaysia.

Andrew started his career as an audit manager for Price Waterhouse LLC, moving on to work in financial leadership roles for Thermo Fisher Scientific Inc., Peek Traffic Corp., Gemesis Corp., PGT, Inc., and CEG, Inc. until joining Danaher Corporation in 2008.

Andrew received his B.S. in Business Administration majoring in Accounting from the University of Connecticut, and is a Certified Public Accountant.


Mike CowhigMike Cowhig

Vice President & General Counsel

As Vice President & General Counsel for SCIEX, Mike oversees our legal and compliance function.

Mike brings more than 20 years of legal experience to SCIEX, most of it in the medical device industry. Prior to joining SCIEX, Mike was Vice President and Associate General Counsel at Cardinal Health, where he was responsible for leading the integration of a newly-acquired company into the Cardinal Health legal team to ensure continuity and stability of legal support to the business. Prior to this, he was Vice President and General Counsel of the Patient Monitoring and Recovery Global Business Unit at Medtronic.

Mike holds a B.A. in Economics from Bates College in Lewiston, ME, US and his Juris Doctor (JD) Degree (magna cum laude) from the Boston University School of Law, Boston, MA, US.


Joe FoxJoe Fox

Senior Vice President, Global Sales & Service

Joe Fox is the Senior Vice President, Global Sales & Service. He leads a direct and distributed team of sales, technical and customer support, market development professionals and service professionals globally.

Joe joined SCIEX in 2011 as Director, Global Key Accounts, and over a period of five years was promoted several times to various leadership roles, each with increasing responsibility. Most recently Joe held the role of Vice President, Separations. In that role, he led the reorganization and consolidation of our Liquid Chromatography business into a single unit, with commercialization focus on micro-flow technology. He also oversaw the integration of a newly-acquired consumables business and implemented Standard Work across the organization to drive quality improvements in our Capillary Electrophoresis Instruments.

Prior to joining SCIEX, Joe held both technical and commercial roles of increasing responsibility with Bruker and Shimadzu.

Joe holds a Bachelor of Science Degree in Biochemistry from the University of Delaware and a Ph.D. in Chemistry from Johns Hopkins University.


Dom-GostickDominic Gostick

Vice President & General Manager, LC/MS Business

Dominic Gostick is the Vice President and General Manager of the LC/MS Business and is responsible for leading the LC/MS business across all markets working with R&D, Market Development, Sales, Marketing and Service teams around the world.

Dominic joined SCIEX in 2004 as a Product Manager overseeing the QTOF and MALDI TOF/TOF portfolios. Over a period of 13 years he was promoted several times to various leadership roles, each with increasing responsibility. Most recently, Dominic held the role of Senior Global Director, Product Management and Informatics, where he was responsible for product management at SCIEX, as well as informatics and software product lines.

Dominic holds a Bachelor of Science (BSc) in Biotechnology from Cardiff University and a Ph.D. in Molecular Biology from the University of Sheffield, both in the UK.


Aaron HudsonAaron Hudson

Vice President & General Manager, Global Marketing and Strategy

Aaron Hudson is the Vice President & General Manager of Global Marketing and Strategy. He leads the company’s various marketing efforts, including web and digital marketing, branding, content development and public relations. He is also responsible for developing the strategic plan for SCIEX that directs the future vision and focus for the company.

Aaron joined SCIEX UK in 2002 as a Senior Sales Representative focusing on proteomics and in 2005 became Proteomics Marketing Manager for Europe. In 2006, Aaron moved to the United States, and over the next 11 years, was promoted several times to various leadership roles, each with increasing responsibility. Most recently, he held the role of Senior Director and General Manager, SCIEX Diagnostics. Under his leadership, SCIEX launched its first fully integrated in vitro diagnostic LCMS system.

Prior to joining SCIEX, Aaron spent seven years at Waters in both technical and sales roles.

Aaron holds a Bachelor of Science (BSc) in Biochemistry and a Ph.D. in Molecular Genetics & Protein Chemistry, both from the University of Sheffield, UK.


Mani KrishnanMani Krishnan

Vice President & General Manager, CE & BioPharma

Mani Krishnan is the Vice President & General Manager of the CE & BioPharma Business Unit. He is responsible for driving growth across both the CE and BioPharma segments, overseeing business performance and providing strategic direction for this important area of the business.

A proven leader, Mani brings more than 25 years of strong business, technical and leadership experience in life sciences and the BioPhama industry.

Most recently Mani was Vice President, Biotech Technical Services and Scientific Affairs at Pall Corporation. There he led a global team of more than 250 engineers and scientists involved in process development, scale-up, troubleshooting, regulatory consulting and validation of biopharmaceutical processes. Prior to this, Mani spent more than 20 years at Millipore in both technical and leadership roles of increasing responsibilities in sales, R&D and product management.

Mani holds a Bachelor of Technology in Chemical Engineering from the Indian Institute of Technology, Madras, India and a Master of Science in Chemical Engineering, from the University of Calgary in Calgary, AB, Canada.


Chris LockChris Lock

Vice President, LCMS R&D

As Vice President, LCMS R&D, Chris is responsible for software and hardware Research and Development for LCMS at SCIEX.

Since joining SCIEX almost 18 years ago, Chris has held multiple technical and leadership roles with increasing responsibility. He has significant experience working with product and market management teams, and building strong cross-company relationships.

Most recently, he held the role of Senior Global Director, Research & Portfolio Management.

Prior to joining SCIEX, Chris worked as a Research Scientist at the Institute for Marine Biosciences, National Research Council Canada in Halifax.

Chris holds a B.Sc. in Chemistry and a Ph.D. in Translational Energy Spectrometry from the University of Wales, Swansea, UK.


Frank MalotoFrank Maloto

Vice President, Global Danaher Business System

As Vice President, Global Danaher Business System, Frank is responsible for leading the strategy and integration of DBS by driving technology innovation and superior commercial execution across the globe, including the effective deployment of DBS in all functions and regions through continuous improvement across the company.

Frank joined SCIEX in 2015 and has held the roles of Global Growth DBSL and Director DBS, CE & BioPharma. Prior to joining SCIEX, Frank was Corporate Director, Continuous Improvement & Executive Program Management Office at Grainger. He has extensive Big 4 management consulting experience with firms such as KPMG and Accenture and has led enterprise transformation programs with MBB firms including The Boston Consulting Group. Frank has served as a National Baldrige Examiner of the NIST Baldrige Performance Excellence Program for several years.

Frank holds executive certificates in Global Finance and International Credit & Trade Finance from Thunderbird School of Global Management and Business Architecting from Depaul University. His Bachelor’s Degree is in Pre-Medicine-Biology from the University of Illinois at Chicago. Frank is a Registered Global Credit Professional, Certified Business Architect and Certified Six Sigma Black Belt.


Fraser McLeodFraser McLeod

Vice President & General Manager, Software

Fraser McLeod is the Vice President & General Manager of the Software Business Unit. He is responsible for growing the Software Business at SCIEX and supporting an integrated strategy inclusive of Instruments, Software, Consumables and Service.

Fraser has more than 25 years of experience and leadership in Life Sciences Technologies, Product Management/Marketing, Business Development, R&D and Software.

Before joining SCIEX Fraser held various leadership roles at Thermo Fisher Scientific, including the creation and running of a new Software Business, heading up the HPLC, Lab Automation, and Consumables businesses, and managing business development for the bioproduction market. During his time at Thermo, Fraser was responsible for the development and commercialization of multiple products, all of which delivered significant productivity benefits to scientists worldwide. Earlier in his career Fraser held roles at Scotia Pharmaceuticals and Quintiles, focusing primarily on analytical chemistry.

Fraser holds a Bachelor of Science Degree in Chemistry and a Post-Graduate Diploma in Analytical and Process Analytical Chemistry both from the University of Strathclyde.


Amy OsierAmy Osier

Vice President, Human Resources & Communications

As Vice President, Human Resources & Communications, Amy is responsible for leading the HR function to develop and implement strategies that support the business, including executing talent processes and leadership development programs, driving associate engagement and continuing to cultivate a culture of diversity and inclusion.

Before joining SCIEX, Amy spent four years at Danaher Corporation where she expanded Danaher’s Enterprise Talent Management and led a cross-functional team to execute the separation of Danaher’s Dental Platform to be a stand-alone, public company.

Prior to this, Amy was the Senior Human Resources Business Partner for Qualitest Pharmaceuticals, where she drove several strategies, maximizing internal resources and leveraging high-potential talent to support the needs of the business.

Earlier on in her career, Amy held the role of Human Resources Manager at Thermo Fisher Scientific, where she played an instrumental role in the integration of her site into company practices and culture post acquisition.

Amy earned a Bachelor of Science degree in Psychology from the University of Illinois at Urbana – Champaign.


Ralf SchoenbrunnerRalf Schoenbrunner

Chief Technology Officer

As Chief Technology Officer (CTO), Ralf Schoenbrunner is responsible for advancing SCIEX’s innovation processes and environment, technical leadership and talent to ensure delivery of advanced products and services to our customers and to open new market opportunities.

Ralf has a wealth of experience with different technologies in life sciences and diagnostics. He led the successful development of reagents, instruments, software and systems for infectious disease screening and monitoring, standardization of assays, companion diagnostic assays (CDx) for oncology, non-invasive prenatal testing (NIPT) and mass spectrometry-based new born screening.

Prior to joining SCIEX he was Vice President, R&D, at PerkinElmer Diagnostics where he led the Diagnostics Business’s R&D and innovation initiatives. Prior to this Ralf worked for Roche, AcroMetrix, Life Technologies and Novartis.

Ralf holds a Ph. D. in Physical Biochemistry from the University of Bayreuth, Germany and completed his undergraduate studies at the University of Regensburg, Germany and the University of Edinburgh, Scotland.


Hong ShaoHong Shao

Vice President & General Manager, China

Hong is the Vice President & General Manager for China. She is responsible for driving revenue growth, building a strong customer experience and managing talent development in the China region.

Hong brings more than 25 years of experience in the medical / healthcare industry. Before joining SCIEX in 2013, she spent 11 years gaining commercial leadership experience at GE Healthcare where she held several positions within the organization including General Manager for X-Ray Modality and Molecular Image Modality, Greater China. She also worked in Paris and Milwaukee, WI as a Project Sales Director and a Solution Marketing Leader. Prior to GE, Hong worked for two pharmaceutical companies for nine years and Beijing Di Tan Hospital for two years.

Hong holds a Bachelor of Science degree in Clinical Laboratory Medicine from Jilin Medical University in China, an MBA from University of International Business and Economics, and a Diploma in Management from China Europe International Business School.


Jack TuenJack Tuen

Vice President, Global Operations

As Vice President, Global Operations, Jack holds a critical executive leadership position within the SCIEX organization with full management responsibilities for global order fulfillment, global manufacturing and global sourcing, as well as Environment, Health & Safety and the Danaher Business Systems (DBS) within Operations. Jack also plays a critical role in strategic product planning and continual implementation of lean manufacturing in the global organization.

Prior to this role, Jack was the Senior Director of Global Supply Chain where he lead SCIEX global Distribution centers, products distribution and fulfillment, Factory Supply Chain management and Global commodities supply planning. Before joining SCIEX in 2014, Jack held the role of Founder and CEO for Xenon Technologies for four years. He also held roles of continuing increasing operations management responsibility for 16 years with PerkinElmer in Singapore, Indonesia, the Philippines and China, culminating in the role of General Manager and Managing Director for Asia HQ at PerkinElmer Singapore.

Jack received his Bachelor of Science in Business and Management from the University of Bradford, United Kingdom.


Doug WoodruffDoug Woodruff

Vice President, Quality & Regulatory Affairs

Doug is the Vice President of Quality and Regulatory Affairs at SCIEX. In this role, he provides strategic direction on establishing, implementing and maintaining QA/RA systems in accordance with applicable standards for SCIEX and regulatory requirements for governing bodies.

Doug brings with him over 30 years of experience and leadership in the Quality and Regulatory space. Prior to joining SCIEX, Doug held a number of senior roles leading the Regulatory Affairs and Quality Assurance teams at companies such as LightLab, Omniguide Inc. and Animas Corporation. Most recently, Doug held the role of Head of Quality and Regulatory – Population Health Management Business Group at Philips where he was responsible for implementing quality, regulatory and clinical processes and systems for a new business group of Philips consisting of six individual businesses, including software and hardware devices.

Doug holds a Bachelor of Science degree in Agricultural Engineering and a Master of Science degree in Engineering and Mechanical Design, both from Washington State University.
