President of SCIEX
Jean-Paul Mangeolle is President of SCIEX where he is responsible for SCIEX's global operations and leading the company as it continues to provide solutions that will allow scientists around the world to find answers to improve scientific understanding and safeguard health.
Jean-Paul comes to SCIEX with extensive experience building teams and profitable businesses across the globe in multiple market segments, including biotechnology and pharmaceutical companies, academic research laboratories, microelectronics manufacturing and OEM companies. Most recently he was Executive Vice President for the Process Solutions Business Unit of Merck-KGAA Millipore. In this role he held full P&L responsibility for a €1.0B business. Jean-Paul spent more than 25 years with Millipore in progressively larger roles culminating in the role of President, Bioprocess Division, where he was also a member of the Corporate Executive Committee and an elected Corporate Officer. In this role he led a $900M division with 1,000 employees.
Jean-Paul received his M.S. in Chemical Engineering from the University of Montpellier, France and his B.A./B.S. in Environmental Engineering from the University of Chambery, France.
Global Vice President, Finance & IT
Andrew Clark is the Chief Financial Officer and Vice President Finance & IT of SCIEX where he is responsible for overseeing all aspects of financial performance and information technology of the company.
Prior to joining SCIEX in 2012, Andrew held several executive financial and management positions at other Danaher operating companies, including Chief Financial Officer positions at Portescap, Setra & Sonix, as well as concurrently holding the position of interim General Manager of Portescap Singapore/Malaysia.
Andrew started his career as an audit manager for Price Waterhouse LLC, moving on to work in financial and controller roles for Thermo Fisher Scientific Inc., Peek Traffic Corp., Gemesis Corp., PGT, Inc., and CEG, Inc. until coming to Danaher Corporation in 2008.
Andrew received his B.S. in Business Administration majoring in Accounting from the University of Connecticut, and is a Certified Public Accountant.
Senior Global Vice President, R&D
Gordon Logan is the Senior Vice President of research and development at SCIEX and is responsible for all R&D activity at SCIEX.
Previously, Gordon was Senior Vice President of product development at MDS Analytical Technologies with strategic and operational responsibility.
Prior to joining SCIEX 2005, Gordon was a Director at Labformatics Ltd., a laboratory management consultancy, where he focused on the instrument business at VG and Fisons Instruments prior to their acquisition by Thermo Electron, where he became president and managing director of informatics.
Gordon earned a master's degree in biotechnology/biochemical engineering at the University of Birmingham, UK and a PhD in bioreactor optimization and biosensor design from the University of Sunderland, UK.
Senior Global Vice President, Sales & Service
Inese Lowenstein is the Senior Global Vice President, Sales & Service and is responsible for leading a direct and distributed team of sales, technical and customer support and market development professionals and service professionals globally and driving profitable revenue growth. Inese also oversees global Digital Marketing and Marketing Operations.
Inese brings nearly 25 years of experience and very strong leadership background in Sales, Marketing, Product Management and General Management.
Prior to joining SCIEX, Inese spent 13 years at Merck of Germany, where she held key leadership positions as the Executive Vice President, Head of Display Materials Business Unit, Performance Materials for Merck KGaA where she was responsible for managing the commercial and R&D functions for a 1.5 billion EUR business with 99% of revenues originating in Asia and prior to that, as the Senior Vice President, Head of Pigments & Cosmetics BU, and Performance Materials. Before moving to Germany, for nearly 10 years Inese held various roles of increasing responsibility with the life science business of Merck Germany known in the US as EMD Millipore.
Inese holds a Bachelor of Engineering Science with major in Economics & Engineering from Riga Technical University, Riga, Latvia and Master of Business Administration from Walter A. Haas School of Business, University of California at Berkeley. She is fluent in Latvian, English and Russian.
Vice President & General Manager, LC-MS Business
Chris Radloff is Vice President and General Manager of the Mass Spectrometry business at SCIEX where he is responsible for leading the growth of our LC/MS business around the globe in strategic markets including; pharmaceutical, food, academic, environmental, clinical and forensics working with R&D, regional sales and service teams around the world. He also has responsibility for overseeing our Global Commercial Marketing function.
Chris joined SCIEX in 2013 from Mettler-Toledo International Inc., where he was General Manager for the global analytical business.
Chris evolved his career through application, product management, sales and marketing roles leading to several general management and CEO-positions at companies in Europe and the US including time at RAININ Instruments, Büchi Labortechnik, and Bruker.
Chris earned a PhD in physical chemistry, focusing on 2-dimensional NMR methods to analyze proteins from the ETH Zürich (the Federal Institute of Technology Zürich). He also holds a master's degree in physical chemistry from ETH Zürich.
Global Vice President, Business Development
Eric Gerber is Vice President of Business Development at SCIEX and has had responsibility for acquisitions and licensing for the company since 2011. Eric has extensive experience in M&A, strategic planning, marketing, and technology incubation.
Prior to joining SCIEX, Eric was Senior Director of business development for Dionex Corporation where he headed corporate BD and strategic planning. During his tenure at Dionex Corporation, Eric was also responsible for sell side integration in Dionex's merger with Thermo Fisher Scientific.
Earlier in his career, Eric was responsible for technology incubation at Applied Biosystems and spent 8 years as a product manager in Varian’s chromatography division.
Eric started his career at the lab bench as a synthetic organic chemist in 1993 at Shaman Pharmaceuticals in South San Francisco and holds a bachelor's degree in organic chemistry from Reed College in Portland, OR.
Global Vice President, Human Resources
Georgeann Couchara is Vice President of Human Resources and Communication for SCIEX where she is responsible for leading and driving organizational and leadership development; talent management and talent acquisition; and broad global internal communications.
Recently joining SCIEX from Ormco Corporation, another Danaher operating company, Georgeann provided human resource leadership to support a company which became a premier digital orthodontic platform provider. She has extensive expertise in talent nurturing. Prior to this role Georgeann was Director of Corporate Human Resources and talent at Danaher Corporate, where she managed the talent acquisition and development process.
Georgeann earned a BA in Applied Psychology and a Masters of Arts in Industrial and Labor Relations from Indiana University of Pennsylvania and an MBA from Georgetown University in Washington, D.C.
Vice President, Global Operations
As Vice President, Global Operations, Jack holds a critical executive leadership position within the SCIEX organization with full management responsibilities for global order fulfillment, global manufacturing and global sourcing, as well as Environment, Health & Safety and the Danaher Business Systems (DBS) within Operations. Jack also plays a critical role in strategic product planning and continual implementation of lean manufacturing in the global organization.
Prior to this role, Jack was the Senior Director of Global Supply Chain where he lead SCIEX global Distribution centers, products distribution and fulfillment, Factory Supply Chain management and Global commodities supply planning. Before joining SCIEX in 2014, Jack held the role of Founder and CEO for Xenon Technologies for four years. He also held roles of continuing increasing operations management responsibility for 16 years with PerkinElmer in Singapore, Indonesia, the Philippines and China, culminating in the role of General Manager and Managing Director for Asia HQ at PerkinElmer Singapore.
Jack received his Bachelor of Science in Business and Management from the University of Bradford, United Kingdom.
Global Vice President, Separations
As Global Vice President for our Separations Business, Joe is responsible for driving profitable growth of this critical area for SCIEX. Joe oversees business performance and provides strategic direction and leadership focusing on current and future market trends within market segments, as well as the application of the SCIEX product portfolio in those markets.
Joe joined SCIEX in 2011 as Director, Global Key Accounts. He then took on the role of Senior Director, Pharmaceutical Business in 2013, rebuilding the pharma team and our organizational competency in the Biologics market. Most recently Joe held the role of Senior Director, Global Sales Management & Sales Operations. In this position he worked with the regional teams to further improve the productivity and effectiveness of our Salesforce by enhancing Sales tools, processes and training. He was also responsible for maintaining our world-class management process and assisting in management of our forecasting process. Prior to joining SCIEX, Joe held both technical and commercial roles of increasing responsibility with Bruker and Shimadzu.
Global Vice President & General Counsel
As Vice President & General Counsel for SCIEX, Tara manages the legal, intellectual property, trade compliance and EHS functions.
Tara joined in 2010 as head of the global commercial legal function for SCIEX. Since that time, she has taken on a variety of responsibilities before her promotion to General Counsel. Tara began her legal career as an Associate in the Health Care Group at Ropes & Gray. Prior to joining SCIEX, Tara worked as in house counsel in the life sciences industry, most recently as the Senior Corporate Counsel for the Endoscopy Division of Smith & Nephew.
She is admitted to practice law in Massachusetts. She holds a B.A. from Union College and a Juris Doctorate from Boston College Law School.
Vice President, Danaher Business System
As Vice President, Danaher Business System, Mark is responsible for the effective deployment of DBS in all functions and regions and in driving results through continuous improvement across the business.
Mark joined SCIEX in 2009, carrying out the migration of our IT environment from Life Technologies. In 2011 Mark was promoted to Senior Director, IT to lead the global IT organization for SCIEX and Molecular Devices. Mark was successful in driving IT spending to levels in line with Danaher benchmarks. His leadership was also instrumental in driving our global ERP consolidation. He transitioned to the Sr. Global Director, DBS role in May 2014. Prior to joining SCIEX in 2009 Mark worked for 15 years at Accu-Sort Systems, Telford, PA, U.S., in both Operations and Information Technology leadership roles.
Mark earned a Bachelor of Science degree in Finance from Susquehanna University, Selinsgrove, PA in 1990 and an MBA from LaSalle University, Philadelphia in 1999.
