This course goes into detail about the practical aspect of quantitation and includes the following topics:

• Selection of precursor and fragment ions
• Reasons for poor accuracy by loss of the target molecule (matrix effect)
• Use of isotope-labeled standards
• Surrogate matrix
• Injection volume
• Correct pipetting
• Data points per chromatographic peak

After taking this course, you should be able to select the best precursor and fragment ions, identify the factors which can negatively impact the accuracy and know what to consider to get best quantitative results, e.g. the use of isotope-labeled standards.
