Cabling an Agilent LC System to a Mass Spectrometer Controlled by SCIEX OS Software

SCIEX OS software can be used to control an Agilent LC system directly if the LC system is connected via an ethernet connection. A single module of the Agilent LC stack must be connected to the acquisition computer with an ethernet cable, and then any additional Agilent modules are connected to each other (in series) with CAN cables. When creating an LC hardware profile in SCIEX OS software, the Agilent Integrated System option under the Integrated System options will allow for direct control of the Agilent LC components through SCIEX OS software.
