How Do I Convert Acquisition Methods Created in Analyst® Software for Use in SCIEX OS Software?

Users can convert existing acquisition methods created in Analyst® software for use in SCIEX OS software by using the Convert File option in the Open menu in the MS Method tile. Only the MS portion of the method will be converted; there is no conversion function for the LC portion of the method.

To convert the method, users must open the MS Method page in SCIEX OS software, select Open and then Convert File.


Users will be prompted to select a method created in Analyst software (.dam file), and then users must click Open.


SCIEX OS software will import the existing method from Analyst software as a new method, and all experiment and source gas parameters will be imported.


Users should review all parameters before running the method in SCIEX OS software. Methods from different  instrument models can be converted, but users should reoptimize the source gas parameters before acquiring on their particular model.
