How Do I Lock and Unlock the Acquisition Method in SCIEX OS Software?

Answer

For routine analysis in SCIEX OS software, users can choose to lock their acquisition method to prevent unauthorized users from editing them. Only users with Lock Method or Unlock Method permissions enabled in the security settings can edit locked methods. Other non-authorized users can still submit locked methods in the Batch workspace.

• To lock the acquisition method, click Save and then select Lock Method.
• To unlock the method, click Save and select Unlock Method.
• The icon next to the method name in the title bar indicates whether the method is locked or unlocked.
