By default, ECHO® MS optimizes the well ejection order as much as possible during batch analysis to minimize analysis time.
For example, if the following analysis order is specified in the batch → A1 / A2 / A3 / A1 / A2 / A3 / A1 / A2 / A3, SCIEX OS will automatically perform the ejections in the following order → A1 / A1 / A1 / A2 / A2 / A2 / A3 / A3 / A3. This limits plate movement during the batch to reduce analysis time.
For example, this can become problematic when performing kinetic studies because it is essential to be able to choose the precise ejection order for each sample.
To keep the ejection order the same as in the batch, the following EchoMS setting must be unchecked: "Optimize ejection sequence of batch samples" as indicated below :
