Yes, the SCIEX OS software supports the Harvard Syringe Pumps, Pump 11 Elite and the PHD Ultra. To use an external Harvard syringe pump with X500 QTOF system, perform the following steps:

1. Connect one end of the communication cable supplied by the manufacturer to the syringe pump and the other end to the serial port on the acquisition computer.
2. In SCIEX OS software in the Configuration workspace, select the Devices tab.
3. Click Add. A dialog box called Device will open.
4. In the Type field, select Syringe Pump and in the Model field, select Harvard Syringe Pump.
5. Select Settings. The Settings screen will appear.
6. Click on the Test Device button.
7. If the test is successful, then click Save to save the new device.
