MetabolitePilot™ 1.5 Software Upgrade License Requires Older 1.0 License as Base

Issue Description

When MetabolitePilot™ 1.5 software is launched, an error is received after reinstalling the software indicating that a demo version of the software license has expired. After selecting OK, the user is provided with the license activation page. Pointing the software to the permanent license file location (C:\Program Files (x86)\AB SCIEX\MetabolitePilot\bin), deleting any MetabolitePilot licenses, and copying a new license file to C:\Program Files (x86)\AB SCIEX\MetabolitePilot\bin are steps that do not resolve the issue.
 

Resolution

If the license being installed is a MetabolitePilot 1.5 upgrade license, it will always need to be installed alongside the original MetabolitePilot 1.0 license. Add the MetabolitePilot 1.0 license file to C:\Program Files (x86)\AB SCIEX\MetabolitePilot\bin and then launch the software and add the MetabolitePilot 1.5 upgrade license to launch the software.
