Issue Description
After launching DiscoveryQuant™ software, the following error message is received:
"DiscoveryQuant Feature Expired
If you are using a demo version, the demo period has expired. Contact your customer service representative to purchase the DiscoveryQuant software.
If you are not using a demo version, the feature you are attempting to use can not be validated. Contact your customer service representative for further assistance."
Resolution
Select the Details tab on the error message and make a note of the computer IDs that are listed. Then navigate to the license file for DiscoveryQuant software at C:\Program Files\DiscoveryQuant\DiscoveryQuant2_1.lic and open the file using Word or Notepad. Make a note of the HostID listed in the license. If it does not match the computer ID in the Details screen, then the license will need to be rehosted.
If the PC where DiscoveryQuant software is installed recently had a hardware component change, then the computer IDs will have been updated, and this would affect the proper functioning of the software license.
