Issue Description
In Analyst® software, some hardware profiles with Shimadzu LC components will not be able to connect to the LC system. This is due to a lower version of Microsoft Visual C++ being installed by the Analyst software installer than what is required by the Shimadzu LC controller. Analyst software requires Microsoft Visual C++ 2008, while the Shimadzu LC requires Microsoft Visual C++ 2010.
Resolution
The solution is to install Microsoft Visual C++ 2010. The upgraded Visual C++ install should allow the Shimadzu LC to connect through Analyst® software. Users who need assistance with the Visual C++ upgrade should reach out to their IT department.
