Answer

The QJet ion guide focuses ions before they pass into the Q0 region. The coil box for the QJet ion guide, controlled by the MQT module, provides RF and DC voltages. The RF voltage is managed by the XA1 parameter, which is set during tuning procedures:
- 70 VDC: Acceptable RF voltage range is 0.10 to 0.175.
- 250 VDC: Acceptable RF voltage range is 0.15 to 0.30.

These values are critical for proper operation and can be adjusted in Analyst® Software:
1. Navigate to the Advanced MS tab.
2. Right-click in the Q2 transmission window to set XA1.

XA1 can also be used to test for QJet ion guide contamination. If contamination is suspected, contact SciexNow@sciex.com for support.
