Issue Description

When processing data in SCIEX OS software in the Analytics module, the generated results table shows that a component is missing, even though it was added to the batch, and, instead, a warning message appears:

Components Mismatch:
1 component in the selected processing method is not found in any selected batch samples. Butalbital 1
1 component in the selected processing method is not found in the selected processing method. Butalbital 1

Root cause: The invalid name for the analyte stems from an extra space entered at the end of the analyte's name in the Component column in the Batch workspace. In this case, when an extra space is typed in at the end of “Butalbital 1”, several extra spaces are added to the end of the analyte name (see example below where Butalbital is highlighted in blue). This extra space triggers the warning reported above. The other components, including Butalbital 2, do not have the extra space (see second image), and so, therefore, do not trigger the warning.

Resolution

To resolve this issue, software users should make sure no extra spaces are added to the end of the analyte's name and that the spelling of a particular analyte is otherwise identical between components.
