Why Does Activating the Hardware Profile in Analyst® Software Change the Date of the Instrument Data File?

For SCIEX Triple Quad™ and QTRAP® Systems, the Analyst® software creates backup instrument data parameter setting files when deactivating a hardware profile. This is required especially for those instruments with high mass and low mass modes. Each time the hardware profile is activated, it loads the correct backup file according to the mode of the default instrument data and parameter setting files; because the file is changed, the date on the instrument data file also changes.
