A single instrument solution for efficient return-on-investment
Example chromatograms of methyl parathion, chlorfenapyr and cyfluthrin, compounds typically analyzed by gas chromatography mass spectrometry or atmospheric pressure chemical ionization, are shown here to demonstrate the sensitivity of electrospray ionization (ESI) on the SCIEX Triple Quad 6500+ system. Pyrethrin I is shown as an example of sensitivity and selectivity, as this analyte is known to have endogenous, isobaric interferences in cannabis matrices.
Figure 1. Unfortified cannabis flower (top left in each set) followed by five replicate extractions of fortified cannabis flower. * pyrethins were fortified at the Oregon limit of 0.05 ppm1 and Pyrethrin I was corrected to 0.0016 ppm based on the purity of the analytical standard; # cyfluthrin isomers are summed for a total concentration.

Table 1. The SCIEX Triple Quad 6500+ system can meet or exceed all the Oregon pesticide and mycotoxin testing limits1 (µg/g or ppm) in cannabis flower summarized below.
