Analyst® Software Freezes when the Hardware Profile Includes a LC System

Issue Description

Analyst® software activates and launches acquisition methods successfully with MS only hardware profiles. When a Shimadzu LC is added to the hardware profile, the software crashes.

Resolution

If the Shimadzu LC system has a rack controller, it must be checked on the autosampler portion of the hardware profile. Use the following steps to add the rack controller:

1. Within the Hardware Profile select Shimadzu LC Controller and then select Setup Device. 
2. In the Shimadzu Configuration screen, select Configure.
3. In the Shimadzu HPLC System Configuration screen (see image below), select Configure next to Autosampler.
4. In the Autosampler Configuration screen (see image below), select the check box next to the Rack Changer Installed option.
