Does ProteinPilot™ Software 5.0.2 Support MALDI TOF/TOF™ Systems?

Answer

To analyze data from SCIEX 4800 and 5800 MALDI TOF/TOF™ systems using ProteinPilot™ software, an additional software called Remote Data Access (RDA) was required, which enabled ProteinPilot™ software to directly link to raw data from the MALDI TOF/TOF systems' Oracle database. Older ProteinPilot software versions such as  4.x , 5.0 and 5.0.1 still support the RDA software. However, the newest ProteinPilot software version 5.0.2 and the free ProteinPilot cloud-based software—OneOmics Beta—no longer support the RDA software and cannot be used to evaluate MALDI TOF/TOF data.
