Answer
When creating an IDA method in SCIEX OS software for peptides, users can select the feature Dynamic CE for MS/MS when setting up their IDA criteria. This feature will allow collision energies (CEs) to be automatically selected for various peptide charge states in the Dynamic Collision Energy table. To view the table to adjust any values, select the menu in the upper right hand corner of the software (black icon in figure below) and then select the Dynamic collision energy... option.
A new window will open as shown below. The CE values can be adjusted in cases where an increased CE is needed to fragment the precursor ion.
The user can directly change the value and save as new default settings.
