How Do You Obtain a Token for ChemSpider Software?

Issue Description

When working with Sciex OS, the Formula Finder Settings panel requests a ChemSpider Security Token after selecting the ChemSpider service. Where can the token be obtained?


 

Resolution

To obtain the ChemSpider software security token, a Royal Society of Chemistry (RSC) ID will need to be created on the their website. Navigate to https://www.rsc.org/rsc-id/sign-in.

Next login to www.chemspider.com/UserProfile.aspx and navigate to the My Profile page. The security token is listed there in the third field down. Please copy and paste the security token in the appropriate field in the Formula Finder Settings panel in the Sciex OS software.
