Answer
When acquiring data using Echo® MS systems, users must indicate in the acquisition batch which sample is used to create the barcode for calculating the delay time used to split the data. To identify the barcode sample, users need to set the Marker Well field to True; only one sample in the batch should be set to True.
The solution used for the marker well must produce a significant MS signal to enable accurate calculation of the delay time needed to split the data.
