Adding a syringe pump to a hardware profile in Analyst® software is necessary if the user needs to use the syringe pump to infuse sample during manual tuning. To do add the syringe pump, follow these steps:

• Go to Hardware Configuration under the Navigation Pane. 
• Select the hardware profile of the instrument where the syringe pump will be added.
• Choose Edit Profile.
• Select Mass Spectrometer Device and then select Setup Device.
• Under the Configuration tab, select the Use integrated syringe pump option and select OK.
