Answer
If you like to modify existing Wellplates to fit to your non existing, first open SCIEX OS Software, select Configuration. Deactivate your Hardware Profile, select your HPLC and use the button “Edit”.
You will see following page:
Use the Settings button, to be able to see the setup. You have to click on the Autosampler to see a “Configure” tab.
If you press on “Configure”, you will get access to the Autosampler. You may need to enlarge the window or scroll down to see the option “Define Sample Container”. If you have another Autosampler style than Multisampler, this option named a bit differently, but have the same function.
Than you will see all available Wellplates.
You best copy any of the existing Plates, which is next to your needs and add it with a new name into the list.
All changes made here, will be loaded via the software into Autosampler. So also any adjustment to Depth, Length and so on. So be careful in any changes to avoid needle damage.
By click “Ok”, you will add this new wellplate to the autosampler database.
Just accept to press “Ok” and close all windows. Activate the Hardware Profile again and if you open next time a batch, you will have the new Wellpate available.
Only changes we can not made today, is to remove alphabetic numbering. In SCIEX OS, we added several examples with just numbers in different injection orders. Maybe you will find these examples useful to create out of them your customized Wellplate. Examples are “54VialPlateC”, “54VialPlateR”, “96DeepAgilent31mmC” and “96DeepAgilent31mmR”.
