Answer

Data processing methods in SCIEX OS software contain several different quantitative and qualitative settings that are used when creating results tables. When a non-targeted method is created, the current project default parameters for peak integration are used, and these are saved to the processing method file (.qmethod).  If a non-targeted processing method contains targeted analytes as well, then the customized integration parameters for the targeted components will not be applied to the non-targeted peak integration.  If a user changes the project default parameters, then the new parameters will not impact an existing non-targeted method, and the original parameters are preserved.  Only newly created non-targeted methods will use updated integration parameters.
