Answer

If extra backslashes are added to a network location for a root directory for Analyst® Software, a registry edit will be needed to prevent this issue from occurring. The extra backslashes in the data file name can cause errors when trying to create a new project or save files (including results tables).

To make the change, open the Registry Editor and find the following key:

Computer\HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\SOFTWARE\WOW6432Node\PE Sciex\Analyst\Install
Examine the key for the data drive (as shown below):

This value should be a backslash (\); if it is not, please change the value and press OK.

Additionally, the Relative Data Path value should be checked. To ensure that backslashes are not randomly added to files, remove the backslash at the end of the current root directory. If one is present, please remove it.
