MasterView™ Software Report Error: Object Reference Not Set to an Instance of an Object

Issue Description

When creating are report in the PeakView®/MasterView™ Software suite, the following error appears: "Object reference not set to an instance of an object."


 

Resolution

This error occurred because a file other than a report template was selected to create a report. Check that the file being used in the Report template field is a true report template. Open the file to see if there are any tags. Most likely, the file chosen to be the template is a generated report and not a report template. Navigate to the MasterView Software report template folder (C:\Users\Public\Documents\AB SCIEX\MasterView\Templates) and select a report template with tags to create a report.
