Searching an EST or Other Nucleotide Databases in ProteinPilot™ Software

Searching an EST or other types of nucleotide databases in ProteinPilot™ software requires that the database be translated first. ProteinPilot software cannot directly search nucleotide databases. There are several publicly available tools to do six-frame translation. For example, go to: http://www.ebi.ac.uk/Tools/emboss/transeq/index.html and use the option to Upload a file, which is below the sequence entry field.
