When submitting ProteinPilot™ software searches, the initial connection is to http:/www.uniprot.org. If the job is large enough not to be immediately returned, a connection is made to http://www.uniprot.ort/jobs/jobNumber.xml, where “jobNumber” is the number of the annotation retrieval job.
