Answer

MPX™ 2.0 software contains a feature for automated carryover monitoring, which can identify samples above a certain threshold. Once a very high concentration sample is detected during the batch run, MPX software will do the following:

  1. Inject up to 3 blank samples until the analyte concentrations fall below the lower limit
  2. Flag the high concentration sample so that it can be diluted and re-analyzed at a later date
  3. For CTC systems, flag an unknown sample that immediately follows the high concentration sample. The unknown sample will be reinjected at the end of the batch.
