Answer

Processing methods created in Skyline software cannot be imported directly into SCIEX OS software. Instead, the exported Skyline transition list must be opened first in Excel and then copied into the processing method in SCIEX OS software. The steps for this workaround are below:

1. Export the transition list from Skyline software by selecting File >Export >Transition list.
2. Save the exported csv file and then open it in Excel.
3. Open SCIEX OS software and create a new project.
4. Open Analytics and create a new processing method. In the Components tab, the experiment index will provide each MRMHR precursor ion scan or MRM transition.
5. Copy each transition list into the appropriate column.
