If the syringe runs dry while doing direct infusion, a manual tune error may disrupt compound optimization in Analyst® software manual tune mode, requiring an LC/MS system reset.
While running Analyst® software in Manual Tune mode during compound optimization, an error message is received: "The current sample cannot be run because the syringe pump has stalled. The syringe plunger may be stalled in the syringe barrel." To resolve this issue, move the syringe holder back and clear error. If this doesn't work, replace the syringe, or if still needed, reset the MS.
