Sometimes, the LC portion of a method in Analyst Device Driver (ADD) will not open successfully; yet the associated Analyst® software acquisition method file (.dam) is able to be opened, and the LC conditions can also still be viewed. To resolve this issue, avoid copying files between project folders or re-activate the hardware profile.
Can an Analyst® software data file name start with a space? The answer is yes. It is not a good practice to start the file name (.wiff) with a space, but Analyst software does allow the user to do that by using the format of "Subfolder name\ Datafile name" in the data column of the batch.
When data files acquired with Analyst® software are saved to a network server, does the time stamp on the data come from the local machine or the network server? After processing data in the Analyst project folder residing on the network server, the results files were also saved on the network server. Does the data time stamp come from the local machine or the network server?
Users can configure the Analyst® software to send an email message if there are three log on errors within one day. This email notification is available only if the workstation is in Integrated Mode or Mixed Mode.
Analyst® software results tables do not have the option to display the sample injection volume from the data file.
Custom columns can be added to a report template so that custom data values values can be read into a report created with Analyst® Reporter 3.2 (via Analyst software).
If AF2 (a parameter describing the amplitude of the resonant excitation field) is very large, then off-resonant excitation will begin to increase the kinetic energy of neighboring m/z ions.
To separate concatenated .wiff file sets, a script called Make Subset File is used. This script might have limitations for Analyst® and Analyst TF software because it depends on the experiments in the file (i.e., the script does not work for IDA methods). The script is found on the Analyst TF software CD in the folder \Extras\Scripts\Make Subset File.
This article describes which method files need to be updated in Analyst® and MultiQuant™ software when new compounds are added to the method.
Information about the hours of instrument usage can be obtained from the Analyst® software Audit Trail. Audit Trail data can be retrieved using IQuantAuditTrail interface methods NumEntries & GetEntry
