Quantification of 30 benzodiazepines in plasma, blood, or urine

Benzodiazepines and other non-benzodiazepine hypnotics, such as zaleplon, zolpidem, and zopiclone are widely prescribed psychoactive drugs for the treatment of anxiety and sleep disorders. Frequently, these substances lead to dependence and abuse, and some can affect judgment and behavior. As a result, these compounds are of great interest to forensic and clinical toxicology laboratories. The iMethod™ Application quantifies benzodiazepines in plasma, blood, or urine. Example sample preparation procedures are provided, based upon the sample matrix type and degree of clean-up required.  Sample preparations range from a simple extraction and dilution for urine to liquid-liquid extraction for blood and plasma to solid phase extraction for plasma and urine. Diazepam-d5 and doxepin-d3 are used as internal standards.

The iMethod Application for benzodiazepines is configured for use on the SCIEX Technologies 3200 and 4000 Series instruments.

The list of available iMethod™ Applications located in the iMethod Store is continually updated with the newest user-contributed and SCIEX lab-proven methods, so you can take immediate advantage of the latest advances. All iMethod™ Applications are available for individual purchase or as part of one of our complete starter packs for forensic toxicology.
