Under the Austrian packaging regulations, producers must finance the collection and recycling of packaging they first place on the market in Austria when this packaging becomes waste. The producer normally achieves this by joining a local packaging compliance scheme and paying a packaging recycling fee.
SCIEX is a member of the ARA compliance scheme. SCIEX pays packaging recycling fees to the scheme in proportion to the amount of packaging SCIEX places on the Austrian market, to finance the take-back and recycling of waste packaging.
