Bindhiya Somasundaram is a Web Developer for our Digital Marketing Team here at SCIEX. As part of the technology team, she is responsible for building solutions that improves the user engagement with the SCIEX brand. Her hobbies include camping, hiking, gardening, and solving puzzles with her children.

How would you describe what you do at SCIEX?

"As part of the Digital Marketing Team, I help build solutions that improve user engagement with our SCIEX brand, partnering with our subject matter experts. I'm responsible for developing highly interactive and scalable websites, creating custom components, and maintaining code quality. I also help enable our marketing department to reach our customers more effectively online."

"The thing that excites me the most about my role at SCIEX is the amazing support from the business and technology teams. It is also the willingness of the Digital Marketing Team to stay current in terms of web technology, and the challenges it presents for my team."

What technologies/tools have helped you highlight SCIEX Innovations on the website?

"A few tools that have helped me highlight SCIEX innovations on the website are Bootstrap, a front-end library to build responsive pages and quickly prototype new designs, GTmetrix, Chrome web developer tools, to test the website speed and performance, and Postman, which helps in performing integration testing when building the APIs."

What has been one of your favorite projects to work on for the web development team?

"My favorite project would be developing pages for full-width design. The design has facilitated a faster rollout of pages with new content. The modular and clean software like design and the implementation of a mobile first approach helps our customers web experiences."
