No Quantitative Bias.
The Lipidyzer Platform internal standards were compared to the use of a single internal standard for its ability to accurately quantitate the concentration of total cholesteryl esters (CE left) and the fatty acid (FA) composition of cholesteryl esters (CE FA right) in human serum. There were 25 human serum samples with known total CE and CE FA compositions profiled. The platform quantified total CE with less than 10% bias, compared to over 100% bias (left) when using a single internal standard approach. This pattern was seen across all classes.
