- Researchers Solve a Mystery about Type 2 Diabetes Drug with Assistance from SCIEX Mass Spectrometry Technologies
The MASStastic Voyage Tour - a sophisticated lab-on-wheels - will be making a series of scheduled stops at Cork and Dublin in early November, providing "open house" opportunities for anyone interested in using mass spectrometry and separation science to solve analytical challenges.
SCIEX, with its partners Phenomenex and Peak Scientific, today announced that they will be bringing the European MASStastic Voyage Tour to Ireland. Featuring a state-of-the-art mobile laboratory, the tour coincides with a special conference being held by the Irish Separation Science Cluster (ISSC) at Dublin City University (DCU) on November 12.
The event will bring together leading separation scientists, instrumentation experts and application specialists from academia and industry in sectors such as biopharma, food and clinical medicine to discuss new opportunities for advancing research and for fostering new collaborations. The ISSC's event will be attended by up to 100 delegates from multi-national corporations, local government agencies and industry trade organizations.
The MASStastic Voyage Tour - a sophisticated lab-on-wheels - will be making a series of scheduled stops at Cork and Dublin in early November, providing "open house" opportunities for anyone interested in using mass spectrometry and separation science to solve analytical challenges. On board the MASStastic Voyage mobile lab are the latest innovations in analytical instrumentation, including the SCIEX QTRAP® 4500 System, QTRAP® 6500 System, TripleTOF® 5600+ System and the Eksigent micro LC system.
The truck will also be available for delegates to explore during the Cluster's gathering and at Ireland's Science Week, which runs from November 10-17 and is sponsored by SCIEX and EireChrom, SCIEX's mass spectrometry and chromatography representative for Ireland.
The MASStastic Voyage has been touring Europe since January 2013, making stops in 24 cities. Most recently, it visited Russia where key scientists and state officials were invited on board the truck. During the visits, sample sets were analyzed for laboratories across St. Petersburg and Moscow.
