Framingham, MA — SCIEX, a global leader in life science analytical technologies, today released five new mass spectrometry solutions that will allow scientists around the world to find answers to improve scientific understanding and safeguard health. The new SCIEX additions include the Next-Generation Proteomics Platform which consists of the new TripleTOF® 6600 system and SWATH® Acquisition 2.0, BioPharmaView™ Software for automating biologics workflow, StatusScope™ Remote Monitoring service, and Triple Quad™ 3500 System for food testing. The tools were unveiled during the American Society of Mass Spectrometry (ASMS) conference in Baltimore, where the company introduced "Answers for Science. Knowledge for life," citing customer successes as a result of the company's highly sophisticated mass spectrometry innovations.
The new solutions, which work as part of SCIEX's comprehensive portfolio, include the following highlights:
"We continue to invest in breakthrough technologies to empower our customers to find more answers and gain greater insights," said Rainer Blair, President of SCIEX. "Our new highly sophisticated tools will allow our customers to reach new discovery levels with exceptional developments. 'Answers for science. Knowledge for life' is about enabling scientists and applied lab technicians to explore new possibilities and achieve successful conclusions that impact our world for the better."
"The more sensitive and accurate SWATH® data-independent acquisition strategy has allowed our researchers to have a better understanding of diseases", said Dr. Anne-Claude Gingras, Senior Investigator Lea Reichmann Chair in Cancer Proteomics at the Lunenfeld-Tanenbaum Research Institute, Mount Sinai Hospital, Toronto, who presented a customer case study. "SWATH® helped us discover a new biology, and early results have a better IDA sensitivity of ~50% more proteins IDs."
Throughout the week at the ASMS conference, SCIEX will continue showcasing customer success utilizing its innovative platforms at booth #160. In addition, scientists from the company will be demonstrating ways to accelerate and improve workflows on a variety of instruments.
