Framingham, MA — SCIEX, a global leader in life science analytical technologies, today released five new mass spectrometry solutions that will allow scientists around the world to find answers to improve scientific understanding and safeguard health. The new SCIEX additions include the Next-Generation Proteomics Platform which consists of the new TripleTOF® 6600 system and SWATH® Acquisition 2.0, BioPharmaView™ Software for automating biologics workflow, StatusScope™ Remote Monitoring service, and Triple Quad™ 3500 System for food testing. The tools were unveiled during the American Society of Mass Spectrometry (ASMS) conference in Baltimore, where the company introduced "Answers for Science. Knowledge for life," citing customer successes as a result of the company's highly sophisticated mass spectrometry innovations.
The new solutions, which work as part of SCIEX's comprehensive portfolio, include the following highlights:
- TripleTOF® 6600 system with SWATH® Acquisition 2.0 - The company's new revolutionary solution for quantitative proteomics and biologics. This high-resolution, accurate-mass system, combined with the new SWATH® Acquisition 2.0, brings new power to data challenges for advanced biomarker discovery and systems biology. Ideal for studying changes in biotherapeutics when combined with BioPharmaView software, this solution helps researchers gain rapid, accurate, and confident understanding of compounds in the area of drug development.
- BioPharmaView™ Software - A powerful new product for automating core workflows, offering exceptional investigative capabilities and fast data acquisition. Built on customer feedback, BioPharmaView Software can efficiently analyze and compare batches while monitoring critical quality attributes according to the FDA's well-characterized biotherapeutic product (WCBP) model.
- StatusScope™ Remote Monitoring service - A configurable, real-time offering that supports most SCIEX mass spectrometers and Eksigent Micro and Nano LC products. With three user levels - lab manager, lab director and technician - StatusScope service delivers the flexibility to view instrument performance and workflow status remotely, capturing errors quickly to minimize downtime. The graphical display has been designed to enable the user to quickly see critical data.
- Triple Quad™ 3500 System - A new enhanced basic mass spectrometry system that meets the evolving demands of food and environmental testing laboratories. The Triple Quad 3500 system enables laboratories to detect more compounds in each injection, with a three-fold increase in sensitivity over its predecessor, the API 3200 system

"SWATH® helped us discover a new biology, and early results have a better IDA sensitivity of ~50% more proteins IDs."
