Occasionally, internet traffic conditions and local upload speeds may cause an upload of WIFF files to BaseSpace to fail or freeze. If your upload speed is less than 750 kbps, this problem could occur more frequently. After submitting your upload to the queue, the CloudConnect Uploader service takes over in the background (you can actually exit PeakView® Software and the service will continue the upload).
To cancel the frozen upload and restart the process, please follow the instructions below:
1. Start->Run->services.msc
2. Find and right click on CloudConnect Uploader service, and choose Stop Service from context menu.
3. Delete the folder “C:\ProgramData\AB SCIEX\CloudConnectUploader\queue” using Windows Explorer.
4. Restart the service and retry the upload.
The uploader creates an upload session in BaseSpace – if the uploader is stopped locally, it does not close the session with BaseSpace – so BaseSpace will still think it is active. If you do nothing, it will time out after a few days and be marked as failed.
